Crochet - "Dolls of the Americas"

Not from my collection but rather from those lovely people at Purple Kitty, a vintage crochet doll's costume book from Coats & Clarks, circa 1952. The patterns are free (but if you're feeling particularly flush you can buy the digitally restored e-book).

You sure brought back memories this time.. when I was a little girl I had a whole collection of those dolls and the patterns to make the clothes.. I actually learnt my first sewing skills making them with my moms help... I especially loved an American Indian doll I had.

So sweet! The old pattern books have more detail and charm than most of the new books. (At least books printed in the USA.)
