Sewing - Vintage Collars

As promised, I have scanned the chapter on using bias tape from a late 20's or possibly very early 30's sewing book from the Spool Cotton Company; it can be downloaded from my Flickr account. Three pages of illustrations on making collars from bias tape are included (left-click on the above for more detail). If I have time this weekend I'll scan the rest of the booklet.

Anon - please check my Flickr account for other 1920's patterns. Would love to see pictures of the finished product when you're done!

Barbe, I have only a couple of sunbonnets.

Holy moly. Those are gorgeous.

Please tell me you're going to put these patterns to good use. Perhaps you'll show us pix when they're done?

Miss Kitty, I put my patterns to the best possible use. I share them :-)

(Seriously, if I had to do all of these projects I could never die).

Share them? Ohh, do tell! :-P

My Mom would crap if I asked her to put these designs on a collar. I can't embarrass her, but I *can* 1) gross her out; and 2) make her say "I need a drink" by showing her awesome/difficult patterns. EPIC LOLZ!

In the meantime, I'll be working on my hand-stitchery skills.

Well, I didn't scan the rest of the booklet...I slept most of the weekend (op-tempo is heating up at work, lots of overtime but man am I tired).

Maybe this weekend.

Behave yourself, Miss Kitty; the last thing I need is a southern mama mad at me...
