Patterns of the Past-A "Buster Brown" Suit


From Needlecraft magazine, September 1914, a Buster Brown suit. Those strap-type shoes were evidently commonly worn by boys as well as girls.

In old pictures, it is really difficult to tell boys from girls. I have heard some tricks, but people didn't always follow "the rules". Imagine that. lol

Meena, your brother may have been a handful; the original Buster Brown was a cartoon character who was always getting into mischief!
