FLORA RIDES AGAIN

We got seven and a half inches (19 cm) of snow last night. My Impala, Flora (aka The Red Menace) got me to work ON TIME. I even went past a colleague's and picked her up because her road was not plowed and she drives a compact.

My boss -- who drives a 4 wheel drive yuppiemobile -- is afraid to try the roads and will not be coming to work today. One of my managers and one of my computer operaters ditto, ditto, ditto.

Cue the snarky laugh.

Okay, I'll stop whining about the little dusting of snow we're getting here! *lol* Good for Flora!

When I lived in an area that got a great deal of snow, I was driving a little Ford Festiva. That little thing skipped across the top of the snow like Legolas in The Fellowship of the Ring.

Flora is just big enough to push thru everything but the biggest drifts, and she handles ice very well.

(good thing because I drove home last night in an icestorm. Note to self: next time, STAY IN TOWN).
